Salford Red Devils’ forward Jordan Andrade will take part in the official pre-match ceremony before tomorrow’s Ladbroke’s Challenge Cup Final at Wembley.
RAF Weapons Technician Jordan will represent the service alongside a colleague from the Army and Navy as they march the trophy onto the field before kick off as part of the Armed Forces long-standing involvement in the game.
Speaking from London Jordan told us: “I’ve just completed a ceremony at the Cenotaph as part of the occasion and it is a real honour to be able to take part in the event. I actually did it two years ago and it is fantastic to be able to come back and help out again.
“The RAF have been amazing allowing me the time off to be at Salford and this is a little way for me to thank them for how they have been.
“The atmosphere will be unbelievable I’m sure and just to be part of such a massive event in the rugby league calendar is one that will stay with me for the rest of my days.”
